OKR Scoring
How does OKR scoring work?
The practice of grading OKRs at the end of a cycle to understand progress, learning, and ambition level.
OKR scoring is the discipline of reviewing each Key Result at the end of a quarter or cycle and assigning a completion score. In many OKR cultures, a score around 0.7 is considered healthy for ambitious goals because it shows real stretch without drifting into fantasy.
The point of scoring is not punishment. It is operational learning. A score helps teams discuss whether the metric was chosen well, whether the strategy worked, and whether the goal was appropriately ambitious.

Healthy Stretch Score
A team closes a quarter at 0.68 and identifies which initiatives actually moved the metric.
Misused Score
Management treats every score under 1.0 as failure, so teams start gaming targets.
