Weekly Business Review (WBR)

What is a Weekly Business Review?

A recurring operating meeting where leaders review metrics, risks, and decisions needed to keep execution on track.

A Weekly Business Review is the operating rhythm that turns goals into active management. In a WBR, leaders examine core metrics, discuss what changed, identify where confidence is slipping, and make decisions about priorities for the next week.

A strong WBR complements OKRs. OKRs define what matters this quarter. The WBR is the cadence that forces teams to confront the data, escalate blockers quickly, and keep execution from becoming a monthly surprise.
Effective WBR
The team reviews conversion, activation, and churn trends every Monday and leaves with clear owners for each risk.
Status Theater
The meeting is a slide recap with no decisions, no owners, and no follow-up on blocked metrics.
